Privacy Policy
BAFAAT is a free, publicly pseudonymous community. This policy explains the personal data that BAFAAT may process, why it is used, and the choices available to members. Public anonymity does not mean that BAFAAT collects no personal data.
1. Information you provide
- Account: email address, password credentials handled by the authentication provider, public username, and any optional age-group or gender information you submit.
- Community activity: posts, comments, selected topics, reports and information you voluntarily put in those submissions.
- Support: information you choose to send when requesting help or reporting content.
Do not put sensitive personal details, contact information or someone else's private information into public posts.
2. Technical information
BAFAAT uses Supabase for authentication and database services and Cloudflare Pages for website delivery. These services may process necessary technical information such as network requests, IP addresses, device/browser information, timestamps and security logs according to their services and configurations. BAFAAT stores display preferences such as theme and font size in your browser's local storage. Authentication may use browser storage or cookies needed to maintain sessions.
3. How information is used
- To create accounts, sign users in, and maintain account security.
- To publish community content under usernames and operate conversations, categories and search.
- To investigate reports, moderate misuse, enforce rules and respond to lawful requests.
- To troubleshoot errors, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations.
BAFAAT is currently free. We do not claim that information is sold to advertisers; if advertising or other material processing is introduced, this policy must be reviewed and updated first.
4. Who can see information
Other users can see your public username, posts and comments. Your login email is not displayed publicly by default. Authorized administrators and service providers may access information needed to operate or secure the service, subject to their roles and technical permissions. Content you publish may be copied or shared by others even if you later remove it.
5. Providers and international processing
Cloudflare and Supabase help host and operate BAFAAT. Their infrastructure and subprocessors may process data outside India depending on service configuration. Any such processing must comply with applicable Indian law and relevant service agreements. Third-party links or external avatar resources may have their own privacy practices.
6. Retention and deletion
Information is kept as needed to provide the service, handle reports, maintain security, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Deleted or hidden content may remain for a limited time in logs or backups, or where retention is legally required. Exact retention periods and the account deletion process must be confirmed by the operator before this policy is treated as final.
7. Your choices and requests
You may choose what to post, avoid optional profile details, change supported profile fields, and report content. Requests concerning account data, correction, withdrawal of consent where applicable, or deletion should be directed to the published privacy/grievance contact. Certain requests may be limited by legal obligations or legitimate security needs.
8. Security and limits of anonymity
BAFAAT uses third-party infrastructure and access controls, but no service can promise absolute security. Your public username does not reveal your email by default; however, administrators, infrastructure providers or lawful authorities may have access to certain non-public records. Avoid sharing identifying information in posts if privacy matters to you.
9. Children's privacy
BAFAAT is not designed as a dedicated children's service. The operator must verify and implement any age, parental-consent and children's-data protections applicable to its audience before finalizing account eligibility rules.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this notice when features, providers or applicable legal requirements change. Operator action required before publication: insert the actual privacy/grievance contact name and working email address here. Use the in-app Report feature for complaints about a particular post or comment.
